Lauren Jones is a dynamic engagement strategist with more than eight years of campaign, design, marketing, fundraising and project-management experience. She's a spirited community builder with a rich and robust background rooted in community-organizing, relationship and capacity building. She is currently the Director of Development and Advancement for Lightship Capital. In this dynamic role Lauren serves to lead women, people of color, and other underestimated founders with a mission is to driving economic innovation and investment right here in the Midwest. Prior to her position at GCF, Lauren held numerous leadership positions. Most recently as the Inclusive Giving Advisor at Greater Cincinnati Foundation, Women’s Fund, Public Allies Cincinnati, YWCA, United Way, and Organizing for America – the campaign to re-elect President Barack Obama. In addition to her day job, Lauren is a fierce advocate for women's reproductive rights serving as a member on the board of directors for Planned Parenthood Southwest Ohio Region.
