Julia started her career in fundraising seventeen years ago, securing a role as Fundraising Assistant at Macmillan Cancer Support, after losing a childhood friend to cancer. She never looked back, developing a passion for community fundraising and fulfilling a number of roles at the cancer charity including Senior Fundraising Manager. Julia’s skills in community fundraising support her current role as Senior Engagement Fundraiser at the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Julia is passionate about delivering an exceptional fundraising experience, by putting people with MND and their families and carers at the heart of all activities. Julia manages the marketing and logistics for fundraising events including the London Marathon and Great North Run, assisting recruitment for events via social media, digital and print channels. Over the past three years Julia has also overseen the launch and development of the MND Associations portfolio of Facebook Challenges, which have raised over a million pounds and recruited thousands of new supporters.
