Jonathan Meagher-Zayas (He/Him) is a Queer Latinx Millennial nonprofit strategist dedicated to addressing equity issues, building capacity, engaging the community, motivating new impact leaders, and getting stuff done. Jonathan wears many professional hats, including Fundraising and Communications Strategist, Adjunct Social Work Professor, Diversity Equity & Inclusion Consultant, Leadership Development Trainer, Social Sector Career Coach, and Social Justice Champion. He is the Owner & Chief Strategist for Equity Warrior Strategies, a consulting firm fighting for change, tackling oppression, and advancing social justice in the nonprofit sector through change leadership, community building, and championing equity strategies. Jonathan embraces a growth mindset and prioritizes continuous learning. He earned his Master of Social Work degree with a MACRO Concentration and his Master of Public Administration degree with concentrations in nonprofit management and social welfare policy at the University at Albany, SUNY. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Religion, Linguistics, and Gender Studies from the University of Rochester. In November 2021, Jonathan obtained his Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) credential and in 2023, he earned his credential as a Certified Diversity Professional (CDP).
