Headshot Summer 2022

Anaish Yilma-Parmar

Bio

Anaish trained as a professional dancer and had a career in the performing arts before changing direction into fundraising.

He started on the internship programme at Cancer Research UK (CRUK), working in the Legacy Events team, gradually working his way up to become an event manager. For 9 months he stewarded solicitors in London and the south east for the CRUK Free Wills Service, before moving to the British Heart Foundation (BHF). At BHF, Anaish launched their telephone will writing service, was a champion for internal advocacy and developed their stewardship journeys for legacy audiences. In January 2023, Anaish took on the role of Head of Legacies at the British Red Cross.

As well as his day job, Anaish is a trustee on the board of Magpie Dance, a charity based in South London, empowering people with learning disabilities to live empowered and independent lives, through dance. He also professionally comperes for events and still has a keen interest in the arts.
