About Dr. James Clarke

Chief of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging, QEII Health Sciences Centre

The QEII’s Dr. James Clarke is a radiologist and nuclear medicine physician who has been practising in Nova Scotia for more than a decade. He completed his medical school and residency training at Dalhousie University before heading to Calgary for a year of fellowship experience in Cardiovascular MRI.

Dr. Clarke has a keen interest in medical education and served as the program director for the Dalhousie Nuclear Medicine training program for nine years. Most recently, he was appointed head of the Dalhousie Department of Diagnostic Radiology and the chief of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging (QEII and Central Zone) in July 2019. His clinical interests are in the areas of cardiac MRI imaging and cardiac PET/CT.
