When working with Vulnerability, many people use the term ‘Vulnerable’ as a label for how they describe someone. This can often be misleading and hide many of the (unfair) barriers, challenges and power dynamics affecting people in Vulnerable Circumstances. Challenges which people often know are there but struggle to describe or communicate.
What we train has been tried and tested across sectors, professions, cultures and communities so we are confident it does (and continues to) work. Because of this approach, we’re able to directly support organisations, companies, professional groups, support teams and individual professionals to develop and embed practices which support the public and the industries and causes working with them.
As part of this session we aim to help you understand the 4 main different types of Vulnerability – This foundation will help you start to better understand and manage any Vulnerable Circumstance.
We will then introduce Vulnerable Path’s ‘Before, During, After’ model which we use to analyse all Vulnerable Circumstances. This provides the basics to begin breaking down what you are doing and specifically how that is impacting the people you’re working with.
Speakers are added to our events as we receive their details and are updated continuously. These events achieve the goals set out in our EDI commitment.
