To be more precise: What does more than $40 billion in giving data tell us about fundraising? That’s exactly what we’re going to explore in this Fundraising Everywhere session. Join Steve MacLaughlin, vice president of product management at Blackbaud and bestselling author of Data Driven Nonprofits and explore five key trends in fundraising. In this session, we will look at overall giving, online giving, donor retention, and other trends for charities in the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. Along the way we’ll leverage a tremendous amount of research from the Blackbaud Institute and Blackbaud Target Analytics to understand what the data is telling us.

Steve MacLaughlin is the Vice President of Product Management at Blackbaud and bestselling author of Data Driven Nonprofits. MacLaughlin has been featured as a fundraising and nonprofit expert in The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, The Chronicle of Philanthropy, and on National Public Radio. MacLaughlin previously served on the board of the Nonprofit Technology Network (NTEN), is a frequent keynote speaker, and is an adjunct faculty member at Columbia University. Steve earned both his undergraduate degree and a Master of Science degree in Interactive Media from Indiana University.
