In this session from our BAME 2020 conference, Camille St-Omer Donaldson and Saba Safi discuss imposter syndrome for Women of Colour working in the fundraising sector.

Saba is the Managing Director of The Advocacy Academy, a youth movement working to unleash the power of young people to create a more fair, just, and equal world. She has eight years of experience as a management consultant, including four years at the aviation and aerospace consulting firm – Seabury Group. Saba is also one of the founding organisers of #CharitySoWhite, founder of a network for WOC in Impact Leadership, Treasurer of CitizensUK, and Governor of the Belham. She has an MBA from Wharton Business School, and a MSci in Mathematics from Imperial College London.

Camille is an organiser, campaigner and committee member at #CharitySoWhite. Most recently awarded a spot on Civil Society’s top 25 fundraisers under 35 list. She is a passionate and dynamic fundraiser for the last 8 years, currently using supporter insight to create experiences that bring our supporters closer to the causes the care about at British Red Cross where she is an active member of the charity’s BAME network committee and ex co-chair. Recently facilitating an anti racism workshop delivered to over 700 staff members, to drive forward the organisations Anti Racist Action plan. Camille is also programme chair of Beyond Suffrage committee, a project which helps elevate young women of colour to leadership, diversify boards and empower the future change makers. She’s a keen public speaker, facilitator & Beyoncé is her inspiration, #Slay. When not geeking out over supporters or Beyoncé, she spends her spare time completing Buzzfeed quizzes like ‘what type of bread are you?’, chatting to Martha about putting the world to rights, oh and rooting out racism in the sector!
