Lucy Lowthian

Bio

Lucy has worked in the charity sector for 20 years since leaving university. She began her career in community fundraising working for charities such as Macmillan Cancer Support, the British Heart Foundation and the York Teaching Hospital Charity. Lucy has specialised in legacy giving for over 10 years and most recently managed the legacy and in memory programmes at Sue Ryder and Samaritans. Lucy completed a PhD in 2020 through the University of Plymouth which examined psychological well-being and the charitable bequest decision. She is keen to support others in the charity sector to develop their legacy programmes and encourage more people to consider leaving a charitable gift in their Will.
