Getting the in-memory basics right – 5 must-dos for new starters!

In this lively session, Kate Jenkinson discusses how to get your in-memory programme started, including 5 things to do today to lay firm foundations for your fundraising in this area. Her recommendations draw on first-hand findings from the In-Memory Insight consortium research programme; and her experience of working with charities of all sizes and sectors as Legacy Voice’s Head of In-Memory Consultancy. Speakers: Paul Nazareth, Rob Cope, Maya Ahmad, Hazel Crombie
There is a strong track record of collaboration across the legacy sector around the world – whether through behaviour change campaigns. Whatever the shape of the collaboration, they all share the principle that by working together we can achieve more than we can do on our own, and grow the overall legacy giving market and we are excited to showcase some examples of this!
Inclusivity and diversity in Legacy marketing campaigns
Speakers: Claire Routley & Haseeb Shabbir
Following a study of representation within the top 100 legacy-earning charities’ brochures, Claire and Haseeb will share some important insights on the level of diversity within them. They’ll go on to explore how we might make our legacy communications more inclusive, drawing on examples of good practice from a range of charities.
Round Table Discussion: Legacy Giving for a Diverse World
Speaker: Juan Hendrawan, Thomas Grosse Stüve and Charlotte Smith
We are living in a globalised world where we are part of society with different religion, language, ethnicity, nationality, and race. As a legacy fundraiser, we are being challenged on how to talk about legacy appropriately with people from different background. We need to reach out from our comfort zone and explore new audiences. In this roundtable discussion, we are going to share experience and knowledge to bring legacy for different culture and explore the possibility to creating legacy campaigns that work across culture.
Embracing the new digital world
Speaker: Caroline Mcleod
This session will be looking at how we at World Vision have adapted our events and communications over COVID to make ourselves more digital enabled, and the impact this has had on our ability to engage with supporters in new and varied ways at no increased cost. I will be sharing our learnings – both successes and challenges and will show how these changes have strengthened and grown our relationships with our supporters and changed our longer term strategy.
Speakers are added to our events as we receive their details and are updated continuously. These events achieve the goals set out in our EDI commitment.
