About the role

Since day one, Fundraising Everywhere has been known for hosting innovative, inclusive, and useful virtual events. As we grow, it’s important that we not only host the right content fundraisers need, but also improve the event experience to deliver it in the best possible way.

We now host monthly online conferences, workshops, and webinars – with adhoc in-person networking events in various cities across the UK and Ireland – for over 15,000 people.

It’s important we invest in our event experience and bring in a person dedicated to delivering these events to the best possible quality; working alongside the Fundraising Everywhere team on behalf of our community to develop topics, content, and standout virtual event experiences.

Don’t worry if you don’t have experience across all event topics, we work with external curators (as well as the Fundraising Everywhere team) to develop the programme itself. We need you to make sure that happens, and that everyone involved as a speaker knows what they’re doing – and that they do it well.

Your main objectives are to:

  1. Make sure all of our event programmes are ready on time to allow for adequate promotion to our community and members.
  2. Manage speakers and ensure their sessions are as best as they can be
  3. Focus on event experience – making sure everyone who attends an FE event wants to keep coming back!

This will include:

  • Project management of all Fundraising Everywhere virtual conferences, workshops, and webinars: working with event curators (internal and external) to develop programmes relevant for our community’s needs
  • Being our main point of contact for in-person event organisers: briefing in their events to the Fundraising Everywhere marketing team and ensuring events are spread evenly across dates and locations
  • Ensuring our events meet our EDI goals and are accessible
  • Speaker management: invite, steward, and set up speakers to pre-record their content or participate live at FE events.
  • Speaker communication: sending pre and post-event information including hosting briefs, attendee information, event feedback and content
  • Marketing briefs: ensuring the marketing team are briefed on the event’s purpose and positioning, as well as highlighting marketing opportunities and improvements as content is confirmed by speakers
  • Reworking submitted session content to be SEO/marketing optimised
  • Event management: arranging event briefings and debriefings with the FE team, as well as roundtable pre-event meetings with speakers.
  • Event performance: reviewing and analysing data on a regular basis to spot opportunities for growth and improvement
  • Event experience: research, brief, and test ways to enhance each event’s experience based on feedback and insights
  • Talent research: reading sector news, networking, attending events and feeding back to curators what we should be including
